Kevin Andrew L. Tan is a Filipino-Chinese businessman currently serving as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and President of Alliance Global Group Inc. (AGI), a diversified conglomerate engaged in real estate, food and beverage, gaming and entertainment, tourism and hospitality, and quick-service related restaurants. [1][2]

Career

Tan joined Alliance Global Group Inc. in 2012, taking on roles that supported the conglomerate’s business operations. In 2018, he was appointed CEO, succeeding his father, Andrew Tan. [3] Under his leadership, AGI expanded its presence in the Philippine gaming industry by acquiring full ownership of Newport World Resorts (formerly Resorts World Manila) and purchasing the remaining 40% stake from Genting Hong Kong. [4][5]

In June 2024, Tan was also appointed as President of AGI. [6] The company subsequently announced a planned $400 million investment in a casino project in Cebu as part of its expansion in the tourism and entertainment sectors. [7]

Megaworld and Real Estate Development

Megaworld Corporation, the real estate subsidiary of AGI, has played a major role in thegroup’s expansion. While AGI operates across multiple industries, Megaworld remains asignificant contributor to its revenue. Tan was appointed as a member of the Board and executive director, enhancing his role and impact within the organization. He has also been involved in various property development projects under Megaworld, aligning its urban developments with AGI’s broader strategic objectives. [8]

In 2024, Megaworld’s real estate investment trust (MREIT), overseen by Kevin Tan, reported a 12% increase in distributable income to ₱3.2 billion following the acquisition of six PEZA-accredited office properties valued at ₱13.15 billion. The expansion raised gross leasable area by 48%, contributing to a 9% growth in revenues to ₱4.5 billion. [9]

Personal life and education

Tan earned a bachelor's degree in Humanities from the University of Asia and the Pacific. He is the son of Andrew Tan, the founder of AGI. [10]

In 2013, he married banker Michelle See in a ceremony in Singapore. [11]
