This page is for tasks that involve changing the same code in multiple articles. This is a great fit for editors with AutoWikiBrowser permissions.
Please note that Wikipedia:Bot requests are sometimes one-time tasks which can be done easily using AWB. Requesting modifications to URLs, such as marking dead or changing to a new domain, use WP:URLREQ. See also Wikipedia:WikiProject Check Wikipedia.

Methylene bridge formula

- @Utfor: it wasn't a misunderstanding of your request. Those links are able to serve several purposes: they can be the starting point for anyone to tackle the project; they let you know what articles are a "hit" so that you can alter your request if we didn't get it right; they keep this thread from being archived prematurely. So it would be great if you could just let us know if those links show articles that you think are good targets for the task, or if they are incomplete in some way. - The word before "suicide attempt" is "fatal". Suicide attempts are by definition non-fatal. Or have I got it wrong? Utfor (talk) 20:52, 25 April 2025 (UTC)

Sent here from BOTREQ, remove external links from NASCAR pages
[edit]Copied from my WP:BOTREQ post: As seen in pages such as 2024 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series Championship Race, there are external links listed in the entry lists. This is a violation of WP:ELLIST, and they should be unlinked. A discussion is here: Wikipedia_talk:WikiProject_NASCAR#Should_sponsor_website_links_be_included_in_entry_lists. Not sure how many years this goes back, but they would likely be on at least a hundred pages. I don’t see them on pages pre-2020, but have not gone through it all. I have also not seen anything like it on NASCAR Cup Series race pages. It would be a lot to go through, but the category Category:NASCAR races by track should have all the races in it. Thanks! Add footer to Alabama election articles
[edit]The footer at Template:Elections in Alabama footer should be added to all articles that do not have it, and also have the similar Template:elections in Alabama sidebar, which may also be linked as Template:Elections in Alabama Yoblyblob (Talk) :) 18:44, 25 April 2025 (UTC)
- Is there consensus to add this enormous new navbox to every article linked from it? 1884 Alabama gubernatorial election, for example, uses a more concise and limited navbox that people may want at that article. Also, some of the links in that big navbox, like 1916 United States House of Representatives elections in Alabama, are to redirects, where this navbox should not be installed (either on the redirect page or its target).
- The sidebar, meanwhile, is currently the subject of a TfD, so this request may be premature. You may want to pursue this task manually. – Jonesey95 (talk) 20:36, 25 April 2025 (UTC)
- I will wait for the result of the tfd, but there is no reason not to add it- on articles that already have a footer, it would simply show up as collapsed alongside it Yoblyblob (Talk) :) 20:45, 25 April 2025 (UTC)
- If this huge footer is added to 1986 Alabama Attorney General election and then the sidebar is deleted, the huge footer will be shown as expanded, not collapsed, causing the article to increase in length (measured by scrolling) by 100% to 150%, depending on your window width. Is there consensus to significantly change the appearance of articles in this way? If not, you can boldly add the footer yourself, but asking another editor to do it using AWB is probably not a good idea. – Jonesey95 (talk) 20:52, 25 April 2025 (UTC)

Converting Template:Cyrillic alphabet sidebar
[edit]The outcome of Wikipedia:Templates for discussion/Log/2025 March 21#Template:Cyrillic alphabet sidebar was to convert {{Cyrillic alphabet sidebar}} to {{Cyrillic navbox}}.
