Would anyone be interested in joining a sub project of WP:Anthropology on oral tradition? WP's coverage of this is quite poor atm imo Kowal2701 (talk) 17:53, 26 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hi all, I cam across this list, and am surprised most of it is redlinked. I belive that as a group we shuld try and create at least stubs for most of it. I will soon be creating a stub for "La Siempreviva" in Mayagüez. El Johnson (talk) 13:10, 17 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I used this tool a few times to start my articles for this project. The tool at least creates the infobox text and the talk page text. The editor still has to add more to the article because it's generally frowned upon to create very short stub articles, I am not into creating articles at this moment, but may be motivated in the future again. Creating an article with a photo is nice too and some of these red links have photos. I'd look at an article and add my two cents if you wanted to create one. Cheers! Puerto Rican or Puerto-Rican

[edit]

Hi! I've been working on a few articles that touch on the Puerto(?)Rican diaspora in the continental US. Generally, I've been defaulting to putting a dash between "Puerto" and "Rican" when using it as an adjective (ex. "a Puerto-Rican person") and omitting the dash when using it as a noun (ex. "a Puerto Rican"). This is based on other ethnic identifiers where dashes are used like this (ex. "a Japanese-American person" vs. "a Japanese American"). However, I've noticed that most source texts do not do this. Is there a standard way to deploy dashes here? What would this project recommend? Spookyaki (talk) 16:01, 3 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]

No dash is ever used between Puerto and Rican, no matter if used as noun or adjective. Mercy11 (talk) 23:11, 11 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Got it, thanks for the clarification! Spookyaki (talk) 23:15, 11 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Notice

The article Me Está Gustando has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Unreferenced and unimproved for over 15 years. No other language has an article from which to translate. No relevant sources on Google.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
