CFH Docmail (formerly Continuforms, and Continu-Forms Holdings) is a UK-based multichannel communications company specialising in print, mail, and digital solutions.[buzzword] CFH is best known for inventing Docmail, the first Hybrid Mail solution[buzzword] in the UK.[1]

History

[edit]

CFH Docmail was founded in September 1977 by Geoff Broadway as a family-operated business focusing on lithographic printing.[2][3][4] In 1992, CFH began printing electoral documents, which remains a core service, providing millions of postal vote packs, poll cards, and ballot papers for UK elections. By 1999, the company introduced trans-promotional services, integrating customer data with promotional messaging.

In 2008, CFH launched Docmail, the UK's first hybrid mail solution[buzzword] that combined online technology with Royal Mail delivery, which allowed users to send single or bulk mailings online.[4][5][6]

In October 2011, CFH acquired FST Technologies, a Livingston-based document specialist,[7] and in November 2012, acquired the Slough-based Print For Business (PFB) to expand CFH's local post service in Slough.[8]

In 2015, CFH launched Dotpost, a secure digital document delivery and depository portal designed to help organisations send confidential documents.[9][10] In July, CFH acquired BSS Scotland, a Glasgow-based company that provides print and mail services to businesses and public bodies in Scotland for an undisclosed amount.[11]

In 2021, CFH was selected for the National Health Service (NHS) framework to provide digital document management tools.[12][13] In 2023, CFH introduced a rebrand and continued investment in advanced commercial printing platforms, including the Canon VarioPrint iX3200[1] and Xerox Iridesse.[14]
