Clonio AI is an artificial intelligence chatbot service designed to assist users in creating personalized responses for online conversations. The application analyzes message histories to generate and predict responses for social and professional scenarios. It was developed by 17-year-old Canadian high school student Savir Singh and launched in May 2024.^[1]

Development and Launch

The initial concept for Clonio AI developed during a routine school break when Singh, a student at Garth Webb Secondary School, struggling to craft a suitable response to an email, contemplated the potential of AI to manage such communication.^[1] Singh subsequently programmed and fine-tuned the app using large language models from OpenAI and Google, combined with his own proprietary sentiment analysis tool, TextGait.^[2] The application allows users to input past conversations, and it uses this data to predict the other party's responses based on factors such as sentiment, mood, and vocabulary.^[1]

In May 2024, after programming the app, Singh launched Clonio AI online, where it amassed approximately 5,000 users within months.^[1] In August 2024, Singh introduced a paid version of Clonio AI on the iOS App Store for $2.00. It received 200 downloads in its first week.^[1]

Features

Clonio AI offers features designed to assist with various interpersonal interactions, including composing responses to emails, reconnecting with people, job interviews, negotiation, and indirectly gathering preferences from others.^[1]^[3] The application analyzes factors like grammar, punctuation, and mood, making predictions about how users should respond in specific situations. In addition, the app tracks past conversation data to provide more contextually accurate recommendations.^[1]

Future plans include releasing the application for Android devices and integrating Clonio AI with social media platforms, enabling users to upload conversations directly from services like Instagram, Facebook, and WhatsApp.^[1]
