From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Danny Tang (born 30.10.1980) (Chinese name 唐丹妮) is a Chinese business entrepreneur in esports.

Tang is co-founder and currently CEO of Hero Esports, the largest esports company in Asia[1]. She was previously Chief Financial Officer and Head of Global Strategy for the company.[2]

The company, co-founded with executive chairman Dino Ying, develops the market[3] and opportunities for organised domestic esports competitions throughout the world, in Asia, Europe and North America[4]; and on a global stage through organisations such as the Olympic Esports Week[5][6]; and esports series at the Jakarta Asian Games and the Hangzhou Asian Games.

Tang introduced AI models, including DeepSeek, to improve outside broadcast services during mass-participation events, and to allow the 1200-strong Hero Esports team to focus more on creativity.[7] While AI facilitates entry into game creation, Tang also upheld the importance of humanities majors across the workforce, for better story-telling and narrative creation, within the esports "creator economy".[8]

Hero Esports organises 7000 matches per year, watched by more than 800 million fans worldwide.[9] The HERO ESPORTS Asian Champions League (ACL) is largest international multi-title esports event in Asia, with a total prize pool of $2 million.[10]
