Controversy
[edit]In May 2023, Darkkey claimed that he was a Dato, which did not go down well with netizens as he was not officially given the title.[1][4]
Other work
[edit]In 2016, he made a cameo appearance in the Indian film Kabali, which was shot in Malaysia.[3] In 2025, he wrote and sang the song "AK The Tiger" for Good Bad Ugly (2024),[5] which was based on his own song "Arakana". The song was successful and became an anthem for Ajith Kumar's fans.[6]

Their song 'Puli' starts off with the image of a tiger and their lead singer shouting the word 'puli' (tiger in Tamil) in a high pitched tone to a crummy guitar riff. All the while doing his best Michael Jackson dance moves
