Evolution Door
Evolution Door is the title of a kinetic art object. As the title suggests, it is an artistic further development of the door component. While familiar doors are either pivoting rectangular wooden panels or, in the case of sliding doors, rectangles hanging on a rail with wheels, the Evolution Door is constructed completely differently. By overcoming the rigid rectangle as a given and deconstructing it in combination with an intelligent arrangement of the fittings, an art object has been created that combines the advantages of the two main door types mentioned above. On the one hand, the smooth running and noiselessness of the revolving door and its compactness without a mechanism outside the panels, such as a rail, and on the other hand, the small space requirement of the sliding door.
