Frank's Shadow is the debut novel of writer/performer Doug McIntyre. Published in July, 2023 by Greenleaf Book Group Press, the story follows the redemptive path of 40-year-old Danny McKenna as he sets out to discover his recently deceased silent, Greatest Generation father, who, remarkably was born on and died on the exact same days as Danny's hero, Frank Sinatra. Along the way, Danny battles his own demons as he tries to reconcile his father's deepest secret from World War II that casts his father's life, and Danny's as well, in an entirely new light. BookLife by Publishers Weekly called Frank's Shadow "A triumph of dramatic literature." Indies Today praised the book as an example of "thunderous storytelling."
