Mandaadi (transl.Skull) is an upcoming Indian Tamil-language sports drama film written and directed by Mathimaran Pughazhendhi of Selfie (2022) fame and produced by Elred Kumar and Vetrimaaran under the banner of RS Infotainment.[1]The film stars Soori in the titular role, alongside Mahima Nambiar, Achyuth Kumar, Sachana Namidass and Suhas, in his Tamil debut.

The film was officially announced in January 2025 under the tentative title Soori's Next, as it is the sixth film for Soori, as the lead actor, and the official title was announced in April 2025.[2][3]The film has music composed by G. V. Prakash Kumar, cinematography handled by S. R. Kathir and editing by Pradeep E. Ragav.

After the success of Viduthalai Part 2, in mid-January 2025, RS Infotainment confirmed its next project with Soori in the lead role, directed by Mathimaran Pughazhendhi, a former assistant director of Vetrimaaran[5] who earlier directed Selfie (2022).[6] On 18 April 2025, Soori officially revealed the title of his sixth film in the lead role[7] to be a sea-based fantasy drama titled Mandaadi,[8] with Vetrimaaran as the creative producer of the film.[9] Apart from Soori, the film stars Mahima Nambiar as the female lead alongside Sathyaraj, Achyuth Kumar, Sachana Namidass, and Ravindra Vijay in pivotal roles.[10] The technical team consists of music composer G. V. Prakash Kumar, cinematographer S. R. Kathir, editor Pradeep E. Ragav and stunt choreographer Peter Hein.[11]
