neoRide is a mobile app service that allows users to pay for their tolls and to search for, reserve, and book parking spots in the US.[1]
Origins
tapNpay[2] was launched in 2020 as a web-based service allowing the unbanked and underbanked consumer to use the express toll lanes without the need for a bank account. tapNpay achieved this by working with mobile carriers to allow users to add their toll charges to their mobile phone bill via a program called direct carrier billing ("DCB").[3] tapNpay's initial funding round of $1.4M was raised in August of 2020[4] from a fund in Houston, Texas.
Neology[5] acquired tapNpay in June of 2023,[6] combining the web service's features with those of its mobile app, neoRide.
Services
The resulting neoRide app works with toll authorities in the US to provide near nationwide coverage.[7]
