REGETUS

REGETUS is a Malaysian student innovation team from Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan King George V (SMK KGV), located in Seremban, Negeri Sembilan. Formed in 2022, the team has gained national and international recognition for its work in STEM innovation competitions, including engineering design, environmental science, and educational technology.

Etymology and Identity

[edit]

The name REGETUS is a creative acronym derived from the Latin and English roots associated with the school’s name. "Rex" (Latin for "king") contributes the "R" and "E", "George" contributes the "G" and second "E", while "Quintus" (Latin for "five") provides the "U" and "S", symbolizing King George V as the fifth monarch. The team is known for its strong identity, innovative branding, and commitment to scientific problem-solving.
