From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Brian Deon Reed (born October 8, 1992), better known by his stage name Reedgion, is an African American magician/illusionist born in Iowa City, Iowa. He later moved with his family to Davenport, Iowa for a short time, and eventually moved to Columbus, Georgia.

He gained widespread recognition in 2013 while being incarcerated at the Muscogee County Jail in Columbus Georgia. During this time Reedgion was performing magic tricks for the other inmates, and he used a jail issued blanket and he escaped out of the county jail and was located on the sidewalk directly outside the jail. This initially shocked the inmates and guards alike and he became known as “Magic Man” locally.

Early life

[edit]

Reedgion was raised in Davenport, Iowa, the son of a single mother, Leanna Moore, a childcare worker. He also has a little sister.

When Reedgion was 16 years old, he saw a magician performing magic at back-to-school event. This sparked a heavy interest in the art of magic for him.
