Roshan Shrestha is a Nepali journalist and media personality. He is the founder and operator of the online media platform *Khoj Samachar*.[1]
Shrestha has been actively covering Nepali politics, social issues, and youth participation through news reporting, opinion pieces, and analysis.[2]
Career
[edit]Roshan Shrestha started working in journalism from a young age due to financial pressures. After moving to Kathmandu, he began contributing to various local media outlets and gained practical experience in reporting and content production. Over time, he founded an online news portal called Khoj Samachar, focusing on local stories and social issues.[3]
In addition to his media work, he currently holds the position of media coordinator at the National Cardiac Center in Kathmandu.[4]
Roshan Shrestha App
[edit]In 2025, Shrestha launched a personal mobile app titled "Roshan Shrestha." The app aims to protect Nepali citizens from fraud related to foreign employment and provides access to information, solutions, and public service tools.[5] [6]
Criticism
[edit]Some critics have accused Roshan Shrestha of taking a biased stance in favor of new political parties in Nepal. Despite this, others have praised him for setting a strong example through social media engagement and tech-driven journalism.[7]
