Sophia Dashing is an American pop singer, songwriter, and dancer.[1][2] Known for her pop and R&B tracks, she gained recognition with singles such as High Priestess, Way I,[3] and Still in Love.[4][5]
Early life
[edit]Sophia Dashing was born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia.[1] Her artistic journey began at the age of six when she started dancing and singing. She later joined Atlanta Dance Studios and signed with Bloc South Talent Agency, leading to national TV appearances as a dancer.[6]
Career
[edit]2021–2023: Musical debut and early recognition
[edit]In 2021, Dashing released her debut single "High Priestess," followed by "Way I"[7] and "Still in Love."[8] Her tracks gained traction on streaming platforms, collectively amassing big streams.[7] In 2022, she was named "Best Singer-Songwriter" by Jezebel Magazine.[9]
She performed at Atlanta Pride in October 2022, sharing the stage with artists including Flo Rida and Betty Who.[10] In September 2024, she collaborated with Swedish pop artist Manda Malina on the single "Raindrops (On Your Pillow)," praised for its blend of Y2K pop and modern R&B. [11]
Personal life
[edit]Dashing is a member of the LGBTQ+ community and an outspoken feminist. She actively supports human rights and equality, often linking her humanitarian values to her musical themes and public appearances.[12]
