The word "sry" is an abbreviation for "Sorry (while Apologizing)" mainly used in text meesssages or talking to AI estimated it started in the 1900s to early 2000s where the Short Message Service (SMS) had a limit of 160 characters per message it is made of the word "sorry" droping the second r and replacing the "or" with just one r. Here is one exsample using other shorthands:
"Sry that i couldnt come 2 (to, can also be used to say ",too" or "two".) the prty (party.) on friday ill c (see.) u (you.) nxt (next) wk (week.) or tmrw (tomorrow.)"
