Stanley Charles Allyn
According to the Time Magazine article[1] titled "The Traveling Capitalist", Stanley C. Allyn, chairman of National Cash Register Co., boosted overseas profits through hard work, not tariffs. N.C.R. runs 500 U.S. offices and nine foreign plants, with 1959 sales of more than $400 million. At the age of 68, Allyn travel the globe looking for market insights and hiring local talent. With John Patterson as a mentor, he learned to increase sales tenfold, expanded into post-war Europe, and reinvests in foreign markets.
According to the US Senate Congressional Records dated July 20, 1956 on page 13640 [2], Stanley C Allyn, President of NCR served on the Committee For Economic Development Board Of Trustees as of May 1956.
US Department of State Bulletin dated January 14, 1957 on page 72 [3] has an article titled "Ninth Session of UNESCO General Conference." The article contains Statements by Stanley C. Allyn, chairman of the U.S. delegation, at the ninth session of the General Conference of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization, which met at New Delhi, India, November 5 to December 5, together with a statement released by Mr. Allyn at New York on December 9 following his return from the conference.
According to the US Senate Congressional Records, October 11, 1966 on page 25982 [4], Stanley C Allyn had a unique record of achievement and contribution to American life. This is the eighteenth consecutive year that the Society of Industrial Realtors has honored an industrialist "Who has made a significant contribution to the industrial development of North America in the public interest." Past Recipients of the "Industrialist of the Year award. include:" ... "Stanley C. Allyn, National Cash Register Co.;"
The Council on Foreign Relations (CFR) dominates the U.S. Committee for the UN. Founded in 1919, the Institute of International Education as part of the CFR, to develop international understanding and goodwill through exchange of students, teachers, and others in the educational field. Its officials included Stanley C. Allyn who was also a CFR member and are members of the U.S. Committee for the United Nations. [5]
