Sushant KC (born February 2, 1996, in Lalitpur, Nepal) is a Nepali singer, songwriter, and musician renowned for his emotive pop ballads and contemporary folk-pop compositions. He gained prominence with his debut single "Aama" in 2016 and has since become one of Nepal's most celebrated musical artists. His notable tracks include "Maya Ma," "Sathi," "Risaune Bhaye," "Sarangi," "Bardali" and "Uff(Which got released by T-Series)"


Early Life and Education

Sushant KC was born and raised in Lalitpur, Nepal. From a young age, he exhibited a passion for music, learning traditional Nepali instruments like the flute and sarangi. His parents supported his musical inclinations, gifting him his first guitar during his primary school years. He completed his primary education at Budhanilkantha School and pursued his higher secondary education at Rato Bangala School in Kathmandu. In 2016, he moved to Sydney, Australia, to study business at the University of New South Wales (UNSW). However, his dedication to music led him to focus more on his musical career, eventually enrolling at the Berklee College of Music in Boston, USA. ​

While in Sydney, Sushant KC began composing and recording his own songs. His debut single, "Aama," released in 2016, resonated deeply with audiences, marking his entry into the Nepali music scene. He followed up with tracks like "Muskurayera" and "Sathi," which further established his reputation as a heartfelt songwriter. ​

Rise to Prominence (2019–2022)

Between 2019 and 2022, KC released several hit songs, including "Maya Ma," "Risaune Bhaye," and "Sarangi." His song "Sarangi" earned him the Best Pop Singer Award at the Radio Kantipur National Music Awards.
