Acharya Lachman Singh Seen, (1927–2022) Musician of Punjab Gharana of Tabla, composer and scholar from Jalandhar Punjab. As the last direct disciple of Ustad Mian Qadir Bakhsh he learnt the nuances of tabla, as well as sitar from Pandit Jia Lal Basant.[1] Ustad Lachman Singh Seen was honoured by both the Central and State governments for his lifetime of artistic excellence, dedication & contribution to preserving & promoting Indian Classical Music globally. In 2010 the President of India Pratibha Patil honoured Ustad Lachman Singh Seen with the 'Sangeet Natak Academy' & the same year he was also honoured by the Punjab Chief Minister Prakash Singh Badal with the 'Punjab State Award'.[2]
