Submission declined on 1 May 2025 by HickoryOughtShirt?4 (talk). This submission's references do not show that the subject qualifies for a Wikipedia article—that is, they do not show significant coverage (not just passing mentions) about the subject in published, reliable, secondary sources that are independent of the subject (see the guidelines on the notability of people). Before any resubmission, additional references meeting these criteria should be added (see technical help and learn about mistakes to avoid when addressing this issue). If no additional references exist, the subject is not suitable for Wikipedia.

Vivek Bipindada Kolhe, born on 27 April 1990, is an Indian social activist, politician, and the youngest director of the Indian Farmers Fertiliser Cooperative Limited (IFFCO).[1] He serves as the chairman of the Sahakar Maharshi Shankarrao Kolhe Sahkari Sakhar Karkhana Limited, a cooperative sugar factory. Kolhe is the son of former Kopargaon MLA Snehalata Kolhe and Bipindada Kolhe, and the grandson of Shankarrao Genuji Kolhe, a prominent Maharashtra minister.[2]
Early Life and Education
[edit]Vivek Kolhe was born into a politically active family in Maharashtra on 27 April 1990. He completed a Bachelor of Engineering in Civil Engineering from the K.K. Wagh Institute of Engineering Education and Research, laying a foundation for his interest in community infrastructure and development.
2024 Nashik Teachers' Constituency Election
[edit]In the 2024 Teachers' Constituency election for the Nashik Division, Kolhe ran as an independent candidate in a four-way race against candidates from major coalitions, including the Maha Yuti and Maha Vikas Aghadi. His independent stance appealed to voters seeking an alternative to traditional party politics, gaining him significant support in the early vote counts.
The vote-counting process was marred by controversy when surplus ballot papers were found, prompting attention from political leaders and increasing scrutiny over the election's integrity.[3]
Founder of Sanjivani Yuva Pratishthan
[edit]Kolhe is the founder of Sanjivani Yuva Pratishthan, an organization dedicated to addressing social issues such as education, healthcare, and youth development in Maharashtra. The organization’s initiatives focus on empowering marginalized communities and promoting rural welfare.
Role at IFFCO and Cooperative Leadership
[edit]Apart from his political and social engagements, Kolhe holds the position of the youngest director at IFFCO, where he champions rural and agricultural development. As chairman of the Sahakar Maharshi Shankarrao Kolhe Sahkari Sakhar Karkhana Limited, he continues his family’s legacy in cooperative management, advocating for the welfare of local farmers and promoting sustainable agricultural practices.
