Vouched.gg

[edit]

Vouched.gg is an online marketplace and forum focused on the exchange of digital goods, social media accounts, and virtual services. It was launched in late 2022 following a major data breach of the OGUsers forum earlier that year. Development of Vouched.gg began as a community-driven effort to create a safer and more transparent alternative.

History

[edit]

In 2022, OGUsers—once a prominent forum for rare account and digital item trading—suffered a significant data breach that exposed user information and undermined the platform's reputation.[1] In the wake of the breach, developers and former users collaborated to build a more secure platform designed to address long-standing issues such as scamming, poor moderation, and lack of user accountability.

Vouched.gg was publicly launched between December 2022 and January 2023. Unlike its predecessor, the platform emphasized transparency, community feedback, and stronger security practices from the outset.

Features

[edit]

Vouched.gg provides various tools and features to support secure digital trading:

  • A user reputation system based on vouches to measure trust
  • Built-in escrow services for safe transactions
  • Listings for social media accounts, digital services, and software
  • A structured dispute resolution system
  • Security enforcement tools including device fingerprinting and fraud flagging

Community guidelines and verification protocols are enforced by a team of moderators to reduce impersonation and fraud.

Controversies and Security Measures

[edit]

As with many trading forums, Vouched.gg has dealt with scam attempts and impersonation. In response, the platform adopted aggressive anti-fraud policies, such as the implementation of offshore hosting with end-to-end encryption in privacy-friendly jurisdictions such as Iceland and the Netherlands, known for their strong protections against governmental data requests.

The site also bans known tactics such as pullback scams, and maintains logs of user IPs and devices to detect alternate accounts.
