Sceloporus macdougalli, also known commonly as MacDougall's spiny lizard, is a species of lizard in the family Phrynosomatidae.[2] The species is endemic to Mexico.[1][2]
Etymology
[edit]The specific name, macdougalli, is in honor of naturalist Thomas Baillie MacDougall.[3]: 164
Habitat
[edit]The preferred natural habitat of Sceloporus macdougalli is forest, at altitudes from near sea level to 600 m (2,000 ft).[1]
