Starting Page
[edit]Starting this because I've seen multiple references to it in various pages.
Also, beacuse I work at Altair Engineering. I am attempting to do a NPOV, basing this off of the Autodesk entry. To0n 18:36, 7 September 2006 (UTC)
Alternative software
[edit]The list "alternative software" should be removed. It just a link farm for other tools. They can be listed in any other CAE list (list of computer simulation software, etc). Rhodin (talk) 09:07, 25 August 2016 (UTC)

Agreement in 2024 but actual acquisition only in 2025
[edit]I'm working for Siemens and just today saw CEO Roland Bush announce proudly that the acquisition of Altair is now complete; an announcement is here: https://press.siemens.com/global/en/pressrelease/siemens-acquires-altair-create-most-complete-ai-powered-portfolio-industrial-software.
Isn't that the actual acquisition date? In 2024 the two companies signed an agreement, but it was not technically the date of the actual acquisition. Peter.A.Schneider (talk) 13:58, 26 March 2025 (UTC)
