References missing for correlation between HOMA and clamp studies

The correlation between HOMA and estimated from clamp studies is given here as 0.88:
"This model correlated well with estimates using the euglycemic clamp method (r = 0.88)."

Discussion points:
1. no citation is given
2. the value seams too high, compare for example: Yokoyama H. et al. Insulin is given in mU/L.
