  • WM Morocco (talk · contribs · deleted · filter log · SUL · Google) (block · soft · promo · cause · bot · hard · spam · vandal) Promotional username that implies shared use, an intent stated on their User page. Jusdafax (talk) 02:49, 6 May 2025 (UTC)
    • Hello Jusdafax and thank you for reporting. We would like to provide clarifications regarding this account. As mentioned in Meta, this account is a shared account for the Wikimedia Morocco User group board and staff, as we have updates and pages we create on Meta, and it is not always comfortable to do it with our personal accounts. It is not intended to be used to edit Wikipedia or any encyclopedic content. You can see an example of our intended uses here. As a professional organization, we believe that we have the right to such an account, that is independant of people who come and leave, the same way other chapters have their accounts (see Wikimedia Austria, Wikimedia Colombia, and Wikimedia France ). Actually, we would like to rename the account to "Wikimedia Morocco", but were not allowed. Can you help us with that? -- WM Morocco (talk)
WM Morocco was renamed to Wikimedia Morocco (talk · contribs) by Hide on Rosé. The email address for the account given at m:User:Wikimedia Morocco doesn't match the email given at m:Wikimedia MA User Group... maybe I'm being hypercautious about giving an account the air of official legitimacy?
Under normal circumstances I'd block the account on enwiki as shared accounts aren't allowed on enwiki. In this case the user only came here because of a premature report by Jusdafax. Other opinions...? Cabayi (talk) 13:25, 6 May 2025 (UTC)
Well, let's deal with it as per other premature reportings. If the account does another edit, it will then be liable for a block. – robertsky (talk) 14:27, 6 May 2025 (UTC)
Hello – robertsky and Cabayi for your interaction. We are sorry for the confusion. Since we have received a grant, we were able to use a more professional email in addition to your gmail address mentioned in Meta. If you would like to be more sure, feel free to send us an email on either of the addresses and we can confirm to you our identity. Also, we ensure you that this account will not edit encyclopedic content but will rather update any content related to organizational matters. Thank you for your understanding. Regards -- Wikimedia Morocco (talk) 17:09, 6 May 2025 (UTC)
I won't take any action on this account, only on the basis that I am running the Singapore user group, and one day my user group may choose to walk the same path of having a shared account (although I won't be the one encouraging it). Nonetheless, concerns of shared accounts among editors here are valid, and there is no specific carve outs at WP:Username policy even for this specific use case of contacting editors to partake in the Wikimedia affiliate activities or sharing updates of a Wikimedia affiliate in non-mainspace venues. Out of the three other accounts listed here, one is blocked, one was briefly blocked, one still remains unscathed. I think allowing shared accounts for Wikimedia affiliates on enwiki may be a question best determined at either WP:AN or WP:RFCN. What say you, @Cabayi? – robertsky (talk) 18:28, 6 May 2025 (UTC)

Reason: I would like to make a request for both the Strasburg Rail Road and Canadian National 7312 articles to be protected indefinite please. Because for the past couple of years and months there is this IP address user that keeps constantly spamming and adding in false info in both articles about 7312 being retired and scrapped. Additionally he keeps deleting 7312 from the Strasburg Rail Road article itself. If you go look at the edit history on both articles, he has done this multiple times before. The user has been told multiple times to provide a reliable source for his edits, but refuses and keeps making up claims for his edits saying he spoke to the COO of Strasburg Rail Road about 7312 being retired, but just by talking to an employee there does not make it a reliable source. I manage to revert his edits multiple times, but has continued with this nonsense edit spamming. So I would like it ask kindly for both these articles to be protected indefinite for now on, because even if the protect last for a few months and expires, he will just keep constantly add the false info back all over again. This time, it should be protected indefinite this time to prevent this from happening again. Please and thank you. 2601:188:C405:F440:3D29:4960:4C5C:D16E (talk) 16:56, 6 May 2025 (UTC)

Current requests for reduction in protection level

Request unprotection of a page, or reducing the protection level

Before posting, first discuss with the protecting admin on their talk page. Post below only if you receive no reply.

  • To find out the username of the admin who protected the page, click on "history" at the top of the page, then click on "View logs for this page," which is under the title of the page. The protecting admin is the username in blue before the words "protected", "changed protection level" or "pending changes". If there are a number of entries on the log page, you might find it easier to select "Protection log" or "Pending changes log" from the dropdown menu in the blue box.
  • Requests to downgrade full protection to template protection on templates and modules can be directed straight here; you do not need to ask the protecting admin first.
  • Requests for removing create protection on redlinked articles are generally assisted by having a draft version of the intended article prepared beforehand.
  • If you want to make spelling corrections or add uncontroversial information to a protected page, please add {{Edit fully-protected}} to the article's talk page, along with an explanation of what you want to add to the page. If the talk page is protected, please use the section below.

Check the archives if you cannot find your request. Only recently answered requests are still listed here.

Current requests for edits to a protected page

Request a specific edit to a protected page
Please request an edit directly on the protected page's talk page before posting here

Ideally, requests should be made on the article talk page rather than here.

  • Unless the talk page itself is protected, you may instead add the appropriate template among {{Edit protected}}, {{Edit template-protected}}, {{Edit extended-protected}}, or {{Edit semi-protected}} to the article's talk page if you would like to make a change rather than requesting it here. Doing so will automatically place the page in the appropriate category for the request to be reviewed.
  • Where requests are made due to the editor having a conflict of interest (COI; see Wikipedia:Suggestions for COI compliance), the {{Edit COI}} template should be used.
  • Requests to move move-protected pages should be made at Wikipedia:Requested moves, not here.
  • If the discussion page and the article are both protected preventing you from making an edit request, this page is the right place to make that request. Please see the top of this page for instructions on how to post requests.
  • This page is not for continuing or starting discussions regarding content should both an article and its discussion page be protected. Please make a request only if you have a specific edit you wish to make.

Autopatrolled

New page reviewer who has made over 90 articles including 1 good article and quite familiar with content guidelines, I may also as well not clutter the backlog for other reviewers. CherryPie94 🍒🥧 (talk) 06:06, 7 April 2025 (UTC)

One thing that immediately jumped out at me is some biographical articles created (e.g. Kim Na and Son Se-bin) have unsourced biographical information, such as the date of birth. This information should be sourced to ensure compliance with WP:DOB. - Aoidh (talk) 03:07, 12 April 2025 (UTC)
I've considered adding references directly next to DOB, which I did at my two most recent BLPs: Mike Kim and Lee Joon-ho. If birth information is not 100% verifiable, I play it safe (eg. Lee Seung-yoon). Per WP:DOB, links to websites maintained by the subject are generally permitted so I included Kim Na's personal website which states birth year as 1986 in the external links section. I created Son Se-bin over 5 years ago when I was much less experienced, so I don't quite recall which exact source I used for DOB (birth year seems to have been present in Star Today), so I've just amended that. CherryPie94 🍒🥧 (talk) 04:22, 12 April 2025 (UTC)
Ah I've misinterpreted that personal website policy, though it does fall under WP:ABOUTSELF, I've now also directly sourced it. CherryPie94 🍒🥧 (talk) 04:39, 12 April 2025 (UTC)

I am autopatrolled and an NPP reviewer; I would actually like to nominate User:Kjansen86 to be autopatrolled. I just reviewed and cheerfully accepted almost a dozen perfectly-formulated articles on Zoroastrian texts, and they have made more than 25 overall. Looking at their talk page, this appears to be an experienced and effective editor. Checking their AfD stats, I find one (successful) AfD that they initiated, indicating an awareness of notability. We may as well take them out of the NPP backlog. (This is my first time nominating someone else so if I did it wrong, please let me know!) ~ L 🌸 (talk) 21:17, 16 April 2025 (UTC)

Already done (automated response): This user already has the "autoreviewer" user right. MusikBot talk 21:20, 16 April 2025 (UTC)
@LEvalyn: I went ahead and adjusted the nomination so it reflects who's actually being discussed, hope you don't mind! For future reference, you can use the "add request" link at the top of this page and replace the {{subst:REVISIONUSER}} with whichever user you're nominating. TechnoSquirrel69 (sigh) 21:42, 16 April 2025 (UTC)

@LEvalyn: Thank you very much for the positive evaluation of my work on Wikipedia. I really appreciate it. Kjansen86 (talk) 08:22, 19 April 2025 (UTC)

78 live articles, (64 of which is start class, 5 Cs, 8 Stubs). Only one was deleted which is from 2018. All of the articles are well-sourced. I think this user is good enough for Autopatrolled Warm Regards, Miminity (Talk?) (me contribs) 04:14, 17 April 2025 (UTC)

Hello, I have created over 30 articles, none of which have been deleted. I am well-versed in Wikipedia's notability guidelines and currently assist new Burmese editors. I focus on creating articles related to Myanmar that need to be written, including those covering current events. Granting me autopatrolled rights would help reduce the backlog of articles awaiting review. Feel free to ping me if you have any questions. Thank you for your consideration. Hteiktinhein (talk) 14:43, 17 April 2025 (UTC)

Hello Admin! I have been regularly creating articles and I'm also familiar with WP:AUTOPAT and Wikipedia policies. Thank you! Fade258 (talk) 15:05, 22 April 2025 (UTC)

Hallo! I've created 46 articles, and have been editing Wikipedia since 2010. How time flies! merlinVtwelve (talk) 20:52, 23 April 2025 (UTC)

Hi, I have created 118 pages and would like to have autopatrol rights, please. Thanks. Phantomdj (talk) 01:46, 26 April 2025 (UTC)

I have been actively contributing to Wikipedia for the past five years and have created over 150 articles. I strive to produce well-sourced, high-quality content on topics such as Bayan al-Quran, Mamunul Haque, and Deobandi fiqh, and I have also improved existing articles like the one on Zakariyya Kandhlawi. While I understand that the Autopatrolled user right is not necessary for editing, I have noticed that the page review process can be significantly delayed, with some of my pages taking 6–12 months to be reviewed. As a New Page Reviewer for the past two years, I actively participate in wiki forums, including AfD, and none of my articles have been deleted in the past three years, which I believe demonstrates my understanding of notability and other relevant guidelines. I believe I am eligible for the Autopatrolled right, which would help reduce the backlog of unreviewed pages. Additionally, I have held the Autopatrolled right on Bengali Wikipedia for the past five years. Thanks. –𝐎𝐰𝐚𝐢𝐬 𝐀𝐥 𝐐𝐚𝐫𝐧𝐢 ʕʘ̅͜ʘ̅ʔ 04:02, 29 April 2025 (UTC)

Have created more than 250 articles with only 1 merged/deleted. I have 15 GA and participated in over 100 AfD with 88% convergence rate. So I am fairly familiar with policies FuzzyMagma (talk) 11:20, 3 May 2025 (UTC)

 Done —Femke 🐦 (talk) 16:08, 5 May 2025 (UTC)

I came across Bgrus22 while doing new page patrols. These short bios are always well-sourced, compliant with core WP policies including WP:N and WP:V, compliant with the MOS. Only two deletions; one was a U1, the other was a five-year-old AfD and recent history shows full grasp of notability. Creates talk pages. With continued page creation in the works, Bgrus22's do not need to be reviewed by patrollers. (Note: the Xtools dates are not accurate because Bgrus22 reuses sandbox pages to prep pages before moving them to mainspace, so the date for the newly created articles in Xtools shows older dates of creation. Bgrus22 continues to be active, and the use of sandboxes is another reason to grant autopatrolled since kinks get worked out before mainspace.)  Done Those are nice, clean articles. Thanks for your report, Dclemens1971. Bgrus22, one small improvement would be to settle on a date format; don't mix mdy and dmy dates (but it's not a biggie). Schwede66 00:32, 5 May 2025 (UTC)

Reason for requesting confirmed rights : I am requesting the confirmed user right as there are several articles I need to rename. I believe that obtaining this right will allow me to make more significant contributions to improving Wikipedia's content. I have been an active and constructive editor, and I am committed to following Wikipedia's guidelines, i also need to rename some pages because in real life they have changed. @Xaosflux hey, sorry for tagging you. I just noticed you are the only active admin on this thread and I was wondering if you can look into my request or let me know who I can contact to have it looked at. Tashmetu (talk) 17:36, 19 April 2025 (UTC)
Tashmetu, the ArbCom remedy requires that Tashmetu shows that they have made 500 substantive edits; all I can see is a statement that you did. While I think it doesn't mean you have to provide a list of all the contributions (that would be hard to review and pointlessly redundant to the full list), I personally think you should explain at least in some detail how you improved the encyclopedia since the revocation. ~ ToBeFree (talk) 15:57, 20 April 2025 (UTC)
Fair point, I assumed there would be some process for this but I will do my best to explian. So I have worked mostly on the history side of Wikipedia, contributing to the "years in France" series and "years in Iraq " series, writing articles, adding details, events, and references. I have a huge library of history books so I thought that's the best use of my resources. I also try to create and enrich pages of notable Iraqi figures, though not as often because it's harder to find reliable sources for these. One of the issues I ran into while editing Iraqi history pages, because they are more recent, is the continuous topics keep coming up, like it's hard to talk about Iraq in the 90s without mentioning Kurdistan! This one of the reasons I would appreciate having my confirmation reinstated. Tashmetu (talk) 16:20, 20 April 2025 (UTC)

Hello IdanST, please describe the meaningful edits and what you'd like to use the permission for. ~ ToBeFree (talk) 16:01, 20 April 2025 (UTC)
Hey, some of the edits I've made were focused on tidying up articles, such as List of snipers (you can check the history). These edits involved a major overhaul: adding sources, removing false or unsourced information, and fixing sentence structures. I've also made substantial edits to other articles, such as Embraer C-390 Millennium (you can check the history), Tilhas Tizi Gesheften, Oradour-sur-Glane massacre, Ayi Silva Kangani, alongside dozens of other articles where I've made meaningful, though not as extensive, contributions.
You should be aware that most of these edits are the result of my work translating articles to the HE Wikipedia, as you can see here. Since my ECP was revoked, I’ve translated over a hundred articles. While reading the English articles before translating them into Hebrew, I also fix any mistakes or make improvements wherever I see the need. IdanST (talk) 18:15, 20 April 2025 (UTC)

I want to use WMF's semi-automatic content translation tool to translate Daniela Ambrosoli's English Wikipedia page (which I wrote) into German. I am making this request because I don't think I have 500 edits yet. I am a German-English translator. Thank you in advance for granting this request. WWtext (talk) 13:56, 5 May 2025 (UTC)

Not done to translate pages into German you should start at dewiki. Account settings here on the English Wikipedia would not have any affect on using tools or publishing pages on that project. — xaosflux Talk 14:09, 5 May 2025 (UTC)

Requests for event coordinator

Event coordinator

Hi! I will be coordinating Wiki Loves Pride 2025 campaign on behalf of Wikimedia LGBT+ User Group, starting on June 1st and ending on June 30th. I need the Event coordination permission in order to use the Event Registration Tool, on this page: Wiki Loves Pride / 2025

If you can accept my request asap, I can create the page and run the Event properly. You can revoke my permission by August 1st, so I can send evaluation forms and info related to prizes during July. I am a "new editor" on EN Wiki, but not that new on ES Wiki :)

Thanks a lot. Vic Sfriso (talk) 19:14, 3 May 2025 (UTC)

Requests for new page reviewer

New page reviewer

I would like to request temporary rights to contribute to Wikipedia by reviewing new pages as there is a huge backlog. I have been working on Wikipedia for past few months as an active user. During this time period, I have learnt a lot of things and learning something new every time I work here. Before these 2 months, I had a little experience on creating pages and within this time period, I started contributing by expanding older or creating new articles mostly within similar topic base. I would be glad to contribute to Wikipedia by reviewing new pages and also, learn along the way. I will also be working with the editors of new articles which might be notable but lack sources or other requirements. Thus, I am requesting a temporary grant of this right and I will prove for further grant by doing worthy work. HilssaMansen19 (talk) 09:52, 27 April 2025 (UTC)

  • Main reason is, I wish to join the May Backlog drive and contribute there. I have created several articles, including some years back after which I was inactive for long. I participated in AfD patrol before being inactive and recently engaging in a good way as well.
  • A temporary grant is requested through this request.
  • I will prove the granted right worthy enough through great work to retain it for further period as well.

HilssaMansen19 (talk) 10:22, 28 April 2025 (UTC)

I am messaging here again to seek a temporary request for the Backlog drive. I have understanding of Wikipedia policies like notability, verifiability and reliability which are the base of new pages reviewing. I wish to start working instantly now in the May Backlog drive. Thanks. HilssaMansen19 (talk) 18:13, 2 May 2025 (UTC)
@Rosguill I didn't know who else to tag as you were the last active administrator here. I wish to work and help in the May Backlog drive. With a complete understanding of required policies, active AfD participation, and more than 500 mainspace edits, waiting for the request to be approved. HilssaMansen19 (talk) 17:21, 3 May 2025 (UTC)
I apologize for the delay, as you can see this page has been rather backlogged for some time. Unfortunately, after reviewing your recent article creations, I do not think it would be appropriate to confer new page reviewer permissions at this time, as several of your recent articles (particularly, those relating to castes) do not clearly demonstrate an understanding of WP:GNG: the coverage provided is trivial in depth.  Not done signed, Rosguill talk 18:16, 3 May 2025 (UTC)
Are you discussing the sub-castes or surnames pages? They are notable pages as there are hundreds if not thousands similar pages but with less or no sources. The reason is policy simply mentions to add already existing pages to surname related pages. As for clans/sub-castes pages, best few or those sources which covers in-depth research in particular like the ones added. They are used on tens of other pages as well. They have direct data analysis from Pre-British Raj, during Raj and then, India's government/or ground analysis covered. I have actually added the most relevant information with sources per WP:THREESOURCES and per WP:NOR. They do meet all the relevant policies and I would like to know which ones need to be improved particularly per policies as it will be a needed work to do so.
Apart from them, similarly, I have created Bio pages which are not lacking any references. I have added the most notable sources available to meet the policies.
Can you kindly check those as they are not clan/division related stub articles?
I am actively contributing here and requested here to participate in May backlog drive. After a trial grant, my next request will be based on review of my work as well, you can review within trial period too. With 1 month trial to participate in this drive as I have less work, lesser studies and no exams but can contribute actively. HilssaMansen19 (talk) 23:09, 4 May 2025 (UTC)
I would expect a new page reviewer to not make an other stuff exists argument. Your reference to WP:NOR here doesn't inspire confidence, as it's not relevant to the criticism I presented. To take literally just your most recent subcaste article, Bhukai (subcaste), none of the claims in the article are verifiable with the given citation. Searching the online copy returns only a brief mention, and you've provided no page numbers or quotes that suggest any additional content that the digital search misses. You also cite two editions of the same work by K. S. Singh as if they were two different works. Bamral (subcaste), Judge (subcaste), Tulsi (Sikh clan) and Bimbat (subcaste) all appear to have the same issues. signed, Rosguill talk 00:19, 5 May 2025 (UTC)
Seconding Rosguill on this one. I've been concerned by some of your AfD !votes and think you need more experience with determining notability. -- asilvering (talk) 03:49, 5 May 2025 (UTC)
Hi, I am not even sure what do you mean. You have been concerned by my AfD votes but can you share the votes here, I will review before further discussion? HilssaMansen19 (talk) 05:36, 5 May 2025 (UTC)
They are two different notable works of KS Singh and of different regions. Thus, added. His works are on provincial level and national level as well. I can add more but as they were the two best sources, I added them. It is not whataboutery here but they are actually different works not editions. National and state by state level. HilssaMansen19 (talk) 05:33, 5 May 2025 (UTC)
Upon further review, they had just a few differences, edition change and thank you for pointing that out I have changed it to other sources and added more. There are about 6-7 detailed sources available, so I picked up best 3, now, I have replaced that one.
Can you grant me a temporary grant trial as I will he helping out in backlog and provide the best work there. Meanwhile, can you guide if new articles should be added or other criteria. For a work record to be reviewed by you or other admins when re-applyling. HilssaMansen19 (talk) 09:34, 5 May 2025 (UTC)
No. Your explanations have not substantially engaged with my criticisms (simply adding more sources, that also lack page numbers or links to relevant significant coverage, only further convinces me that you lack an adequate understanding of how to provide references), and your further responses indicate that your level of English proficiency is not quite strong enough for new page review, other concerns aside. Additionally, excessively arguing this point is further evidence that you lack the appropriate temperament for this work. signed, Rosguill talk 13:35, 5 May 2025 (UTC)
It's fine that you do not want to. I was actually not arguing at all but reply to previous arguments provided by you. To respectfully ask for advice and replying to your and other user's replies/arguments is not arguing. I asked you for guidance, not personal attacks. I asked the other admin for links. As for minor errors, it's called glide typing which helps when writing long paragraphs. Anyway, I agree that it was not a right choice to put my efforts in asking for advice from you. I will rather continue contributing rightfully than getting irrelevant arguments which are totally uncalled for. It further makes me doubt your proficiency/nationality with lack of understanding between seeking advice vs. appropriate temperament. I would assume good faith as you are an administrator and Wikipedia community must have been careful in choosing one but what an unexpected reply from an administrator. HilssaMansen19 (talk) 14:08, 5 May 2025 (UTC)

Given the ongoing New Pages Patrol backlog drive, I was wondering if it would be possible to allow NPP permission. I'd greatly appreciate the opportunity to contribute and help alleviate the backlog. Your consideration would mean a lot to me! TheWikiholic (talk) 03:13, 3 May 2025 (UTC)

Reviewing your block log and Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/TheWikiholic/Archive, I don't think it would be appropriate to trust you with advanced permissions again.  Not done. signed, Rosguill talk 18:49, 3 May 2025 (UTC)
Given the current NNP backlog drive, would it be possible to temporarily restore it until the end of the month? I'll be extra careful and ensure everything meets the guidelines this time. TheWikiholic (talk) 08:42, 6 May 2025 (UTC)
No: you engaged in sockpuppetry in 2017, promised never to do it again, then got caught engaging in meatpuppetry in 2023, with further circumstantial evidence that you were misusing your new page reviewer and AfC permissions to advance UPE. At this point, I would need to see nearly a decade of solid contributions from you to even begin to consider re-conferring advanced permissions. signed, Rosguill talk 18:30, 6 May 2025 (UTC)

I think I'd be able to help with the backlog! I have experience with WP:AFC and I can apply similar skills here. Signed, Pichemist ( Contribs | Talk ) 21:33, 3 May 2025 (UTC)

Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia and your interest in this permission. Unfortunately, I note some issues of concern in your recent page creation history: at Ulysses Lodge a few weeks ago, you appear to have included AI-generated content with insufficient review; at Keith Demicoli you have not provided citations to independent sources with significant coverage of the subject. In light of these recent issues and a lack of positive evidence from AfD or elsewhere otherwise demonstrating sufficient knowledge of relevant policies and guidelines, I do not think it would be appropriate to confer new page reviewer permissions at this time.  Not done signed, Rosguill talk 17:50, 5 May 2025 (UTC)

I believe I meet most of the criteria for obtaining NPP rights. I am interested in contributing to the May backlog drive and assisting in reducing the number of unreviewed pages. Therefore I would like to request the NPP flag to support this effort. Chanel Dsouza (talk) 08:12, 6 May 2025 (UTC)

Requests for page mover

Page mover

Hello Admin! I was granted a temporary page mover right twice about a years ago and again I would like to request the page mover right. I have read the WP:PMCRITERIA and familiar with Wikipedia policies. If I got a chance to gain this right then, it allows me to move pages on my own and without leaving redirect. Hope for positive response. Thank You ! Fade258 (talk) 16:00, 4 May 2025 (UTC)

@Fade258:
  1. Have you read the Wikipedia:Page mover policy beyond just the criteria for granting—particularly, the redirect suppression criteria?
  2. Why did you suppress the redirect when moving Diego Emilio Martínez and Diego Leonardo Martínez?
JensonSL (SilverLocust) 04:01, 5 May 2025 (UTC)
Hello @SilverLocust, Thank You for reviewing my request and Yes I am aware of redirect suppression criteria, naming policy as well as page mover policy and other relevant policy. I suppress the redirect while moving the page for the following reasons :
1) I noticed that the name Diego Martínez is common and the new title will clearly distinguishes this individual from others with similar names.
2) As per Wikipedia naming policy, The new title will provide a clear identification of the subject which is beneficial for the readers.
3) I think that the previous title was not widely used or searched for and leaving a redirect would not significantly aid users in finding the page.
Thank You ! Fade258 (talk) 09:41, 5 May 2025 (UTC)
Not done. Part 3) of your response shows that you do not understand the redirect suppression criteria. Redirects are only to be suppressed if they would otherwise be eligible for speedy deletion. Those were not. (Two different users recreated them after they were incorrectly suppressed.) – JensonSL (SilverLocust) 13:35, 6 May 2025 (UTC)
@SilverLocust, Ok. Thank You for your time and I will be here again after some time. Fade258 (talk) 13:45, 6 May 2025 (UTC)

I am applying for pending changing reviewer rights to help fighting in vandalism. I am familiar with all the pending changes/page reviewing/AfD policies. I have been very active in AfDs and have seen continuous vandalism there. I am aware about the vandalism, as the pages I have worked on and expanded, several occasions of sp vandalism have been there. Recently, one sp-vandal with a long history of doing that was blocked as I requested an admin to intervene. Requests for rollback

Rollback

Hi, I have been on Wikipedia for over a year and have made over 1k edits. I mostly edit and monitor history articles. Several articles are sometimes disrupted knowingly or unknowingly by editors for which I have to revert. Having Rollback right would make the patrolling work easier and help to combat vandalism. I am aware of most of Wikipedia polices (WP:OR,WP:NPOV,WP:RS,etc.) I have also authored few articles like Bajirao I see [5]. Mohammad Umar Ali (talk) 07:21, 28 April 2025 (UTC)

Hello, I am requesting rollback permissions as I would like to utilize tools such as Huggle, which require this permission. I have been actively patrolling recent changes using a custom filter and have consistently notified users whose edits I have reverted. Thanks, – AllCatsAreGrey (talk) 20:00, 29 April 2025 (UTC)

Hello admins, I’m respectfully requesting rollback rights so that I may contribute more efficiently to counter-vandalism work using Huggle. Patrolling recent changes is what I enjoy most on Wikipedia, and I’ve found that it’s where I can make the most impact with the time I have available. I've made 1840 edits since January. At present, I review edits by right-clicking the diff link to open changes in a new tab in Chrome and then use RedWarn to revert and warn users when appropriate. While this process works, it's time-consuming and not ideal for high-volume patrolling. Having rollback rights would allow me to use Huggle, which would significantly increase my productivity and responsiveness in handling vandalism. Earlier, I made two requests for different user rights but withdrew them after realizing that my interest lies more in patrolling and counter-vandalism than in article creation or extended content curation. That said, I have written one article and contributed to creating another recently, and I do plan to continue helping in content areas where I can. I also take direction well and am open to feedback. Thank you for considering my request. m a MANÍ1990(talk | contribs) 21:48, 30 April 2025 (UTC)

Hi, I have been on wikipedia for a few years & I've made over 1600 edits on the english wikipedia, and I've made over 7700 edits on wikimedia commons. I have reverted many vandalizing edits on a varierty of articles, and I've left many notices of these reverts on their talk pages. I've also made a few pages, mostly redirects, but I've also created other articles, including List of Agriotes species, Choristostreptus, and 1854 in Mexico. Having rollback privileges would make it much more efficient for me when undoing vandalism. No matter the decision, thanks so much! -‪Fneskljvnl🪱 (Contributions, Talk) (stay silly forever) 02:38, 3 May 2025 (UTC)

Hi, I'm a long-time user on Wikipedia (have experience with rollback rights on my home Wiki), recently I'm actively using support tools to prevent cross-wiki vandalism (including enwiki).
