From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Usage

[edit]
#REDIRECT [[(target article title)]]

{{Rcat shell|
{{R from domain name}}
{{R unprintworthy}}
}}
Template {{Rcat shell}} is an alias for the Redirect category shell template, which may be used to add as many appropriate rcats as needed, usually from one to seven, along with their parameters, to a redirect. For more information, see the documentation on its template page. This rcat may also tag a redirect individually:
#REDIRECT [[(target article title)]]

{{R from domain name}}
This is in accord with instructions found at WP:REDCAT.
  • Use this template for redirects that are domain names and that represent the article they target. An example of a domain name of a website that targets its article is www.nytimes.comThe New York Times.

Template parameters

ParameterDescriptionTypeStatus
domaindomain 1

This parameter was originally used to apply the top-level domain for categorization, but it is now rarely needed. That is because the top-level domain is automatically sensed using {{#invoke:Domain handler|getTopLevelDomain}}.

Suggested values
.com .org .net
Lineoptional
printworthyprintworthy

A yes or no value indicating whether this redirect is printworthy.

Suggested values
yes no
Auto value
no
Lineoptional
lowercaselowercase

This parameter controls the capitalization of the page title. If set to "yes", it forces the first letter of the title to be lowercase. If set to "no", it keeps the first letter unchanged. If not specified (or set to anything else than "yes" or "no"), it uses {{#invoke:Domain handler|adjustTitleCapitalization}} to set the title automatically. The result is applied through {{DISPLAYTITLE:}}.

Suggested values
yes no
