Career

202–2024: Career beginnings and breakthrough

XRAYNE began making beats in 2020 under the name XSTAR. By 2023, he had begun releasing music; his first few of projects, the EPs XSTAR, OVERTIME, and VAMP HOUR, were released during this time. In early 2024 (January-May), the collaborative projects GREAT CHAOS and MORE CHAOS.In March, XRAYNE's breakout single from GREAT CHAOS, "SYDNEY SWEENEY", began gaining traction online. His music was further popularized by Internet personalities.

2024–present: Y2K and SLAYER!

On September 6, 2024, XRAYNE released "KURXXED EMERALDZ^[1]", the lead single from his debut EP, Y2K; like "SYDNEY SWEENEY", the song saw considerable success online. Y2K itself was released on OCTOBER 3, In January, he preformed a show with fellow rappers FONZIE and N2T.

XRAYNE will release his first debut studio album “SLAYER!^[2]” will release in 2025.

Musical style

XRAYNE has been compared to a number of his contemporaries, including Glokk40spaz, Playboi Carti, Destroy Lonely, Ken Carson, Future, and OsamaSon. He is known for his experimental sound which is characterized by a heavy usage of bass and synths; his musical style was described as "heavy, distorted, and sometimes suffocatingly layered melodies" by FONZIE.
