انظرنا یا رسول اللہ ﷺ (Naat by Dr. Ali Saeed)
[edit]"انظرنا یا رسول اللہ ﷺ" is a Naat written by Dr. Ali Saeed, an Assistant Professor of Computer Science.[1]. This Naat is a heartfelt expression of devotion to Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, emphasizing his spiritual excellence, divine status, and the profound love his followers hold for him.
Poetic Themes
[edit]The Naat reflects themes of praise for the Prophet ﷺ, his high rank (معراج), his mercy and guidance, and the deep love of his followers.[2] The poet highlights moments from Islamic history, such as the faith of Bilal (رضی اللہ عنہ) and Owais Qarni (رضی اللہ عنہ), and the significance of the Prophet ﷺ leading prayer in Masjid al-Aqsa[3]
Structure and Refrain
[edit]The Naat follows a rhythmic and repetitive structure with the refrain:
"انظرنا یا رسول اللہ ﷺ، انظرنا یا حبیب اللہ ﷺ",
which translates to "Look upon us, O Messenger of Allah ﷺ! Look upon us, O Beloved of Allah ﷺ!"
Excerpt
[edit](Sample lines from the Naat)
تو میرا سراج ہے، میرے سر کا تاج ہے۔
سدرة سے آگے عرش تک آقا تیری معراج ہے۔
تو حبیبِ کبریا، تیرا دو جہان پہ راج ہے۔
