  • (teach) Arden's rule could use expansion. There again, French version is more complete.
  • (misc) Add the nice proof of Pascal's rule with binomial expansion.
  • (teaching) Check vocabulary for code. French: code vs codage; here using en:code for fr:codage; what's the en for fr:code ? "uniquely decodable" still applies to a fr:codage instead of directly to a fr:code, which would be simpler. Need to find refs for usual practices.  Not done
  • (teaching) Nicer prefix proof at Kraft's inequality:  Done. Maybe wrangle McMillan later.  Not done
  • (misc) Iverson bracket undefined cases? Proper definition for 'strongly 0'? Reworked.  Done

  • See if Pandoc is good at converting LaTeX to wiki syntax. That would make things easier for me.

Turns out, it doesn't handle macros well. My existing documents depend heavily on them. Alternatives? Simple macros work fine.  Done

  • BibTeX citations to Wikipedia: follow up on [1], [2].  Done Zotero seems to work fine.
  • See if there is really no way to define LaTeX macros across an article; User:Gamall_Wednesday_Ida/sandbox. Seems not, but might ask someone knowledgeable sometime.  Not done

Third opinion disputes: update, Purge

  1. Talk:Pākehā § Citations needed This thread has become combative and repetitious. In a nutshell, I came across this article when I was researching for another article that referred to the term Pākehā. When I browsed to Pākehā § Etymology and history, I noticed that after the last sentence in the first paragraph, there was a call for a citation. So, assuming it was only the last sentence requiring a citation, I found a source and posted it, only for that to be reverted by User:Traumnovelle. This also, perhaps inadvertently, reverted a link I had added to patupaiarehe, for which I have nevertheless since provided a source from the Te Ara encyclopedia published by the New Zealand Government. During all this, I posted a query about that on the user's Talk page, which you can see copied from the archive into the Talk page of the Pākehā article. I subsequently found more reliable sources for other existing contributions in the paragraph, and have so far added 4 that are reliable, and two that are from a self-published writer, Jodie Radford, either or both of which I have said I would be happy to remove if other editors agree they harm the article. The problem I am having is lack of specificity, cordiality and collaborativeness in responses, and what now seems to be nitpicking over which direction rowers face. It is also apparent that Traumnovelle is not fully reading my painstakingly prepared and detailed responses before replying, leaving some questions hanging over several posts. I would welcome a third opinion as to whether at least the 4 citations I have provided from reliable sources, and the block quotes obtained from these sources adequately verify the contributions in the disputed paragraph, and perhaps an opinion on the quality of the discourse.
