Building of Social Assistance (Japanese : 社会扶助の構築), abbreviated as BSA. The novel is still being updated. It's an English novel created by OmaKojiW_, the story takes place in Japan, precise location unconfirmed at the moment.

Shinzo Tanaka, aged 16, enters a “social assistance” building, where the sole purpose is to socialize. Except that, one fine day, an unknown man will appear in front of all the residents of the BSA, and force them to play a game, without explanation or precise aim. All the people in the building will have to play this game, without even knowing its origin, and conflicts and alliances will ensue.

Plot

The story is still rather unknown and unexplained. Shinzo Tanaka, the son of a criminal father who was in the Special Forces, finds himself in a welfare building. In reality, it's a building simply for fun, as Shinzo is bored with his life. But strangely enough, once inside the building, a cruel game of social tendencies begins. The games seem to be the work of an entire organization. We follow 16-year-old Shinzo Tanaka, who has to survive several social games despite the fact that he has the label of “son of a criminal” on him. Shinzo turns out to be a strategic genius, but he'll soon see that he's not the only one. He goes from simply wanting to have fun with other people to playing increasingly crazy and unrealistic games.

Characters

Shinzo Tanaka

Shinzo Tanaka is the main protagonist of “Building of Social Assistance” and is, for the moment, the smartest character in the series. For the moment, his motivations are relatively vague and his past not at all explained, but he wants to destroy the organization behind these games. He's ready to give up and see people suffer without helping them, to achieve his ultimate plan, which is generally for the collective good. He's a good manipulator of social trends. He's pragmatic, but when his plan is finished and he's won, he goes totally mad and taunts his opponent, deep in the hole, by destroying him mentally. He's pretty good physically, having successfully confronted his father as a Japanese Special Forces commando. He takes after his criminal father, both of whom use irony to taunt their opponents.

Shun Oreki (unknown real name)

Shun Oreki is Shinzo's father. Very little information is available, but Shun is apparently a criminal who has already been sentenced to prison. He appears in the 2nd game, volume 2, and seems interested in his son. He makes much use of irony and is physically very strong. He used to be a Japanese special forces commando. He seems to like his son, which is not reciprocated.

Namjoon Kim

Namjoon Kim is a tall Korean and a confirmed genius. A pretty good group manipulator. He was the main antagonist in the first game (Volume 1). He was beaten by Shinzo. It's not confirmed, but it's possible that he's the Korean who incited Tatsuya to kill his mother and trained him to fight for 1 year. During the Sacrifice game, he directly wanted to eliminate Shinzo. His motives are still unknown. He was also Leana's rapist in the first game.

Renjiro Kurigane

Shinzo's ally in the first game, he was the one who helped him unmask Namjoon and kick him out of the building to win the game. According to Shinzo, after Game 1, Renjiro can no longer be trusted. He will also be present at Game 2. His motives are as yet unknown.

Eloise Shimizu

Shinzo's best friend and potential future girlfriend. She's of French origin and is particularly nice. Little information is available about her. She attracts a lot of boys and was Shinzo's best friend even in the past. Potentially a key future character.

Others characters

Ame

Minor character in Game 1. Ame is a young girl who will be allied with Namjoon in order to destroy Shinzo (some ideas suggest she has been manipulated by Namjoon). She'll be the girl who tries to accuse Shinzo of raping everyone, and is part of the old group of friends Léana, Soma, Namjoon.

Game #1 : Sacrifice Game

The aim of the game is simple : among the large group in the building, they must sacrifice one person who will lose all their possessions to give back to the others, with a time limit of 1 week.
