Ideology On Vandalism
[edit]Described in one word: stupid.
Why vandalize? What's the point? You already know your IP address is recorded here, and WHOIS "knows where you live". Do you want everyone to know that 123.45.67.890 from Citizensville, England (fake IP address, BTW; don't even think one with that combination is possible) is a real idiot? Get you a billboard and write what you want, not here. (Besides, they get blocked anyway; I don't see the fun in that)
Notable Quotes
[edit]The quotes are arranged in alphabetical order, by the quoter's surname. Anonymous quotes are listed at the bottom of this section.

- "And in the end, it's not the years in your life that count. It's the life in your years." - Abraham Lincoln
- "The dictionary is the only place that success comes before work. Hard work is the price we must pay for success. I think you can accomplish anything if you're willing to pay the price". - Vince Lombardi
- "From woman, man is born; within woman, man is conceived; to woman he is engaged and married. Woman becomes his friend; through woman, the future generations come. When his woman dies, he seeks another woman; to woman he is bound. So why call her bad? From her, kings are born. From woman, woman is born; without woman, there would be no one at all." - Guru Nanak
- "Without music life would be a mistake." - Friedrich Nietzsche
- "Imagine a world in which every single person on the planet is given free access to the sum of all human knowledge. That's what we're doing." - Jimmy Wales

- "To someone you may be the world, but to the world you may be someone." - Anon
- "The Government is like the Leaning Tower of Pisa: it leans but does not fall." - can't remember the quoter's name...
Today's featured article
[edit]"Mother" is a song by American singer-songwriter Meghan Trainor (pictured) from the deluxe edition of her fifth major-label studio album, Takin' It Back (2022). She wrote the song with Sean Douglas, and its producers, Gian Stone, and her brother Justin. Epic Records released it as the lead single on March 27, 2023. A pop song with doo-wop influences, "Mother" interpolates "Mr. Sandman". Inspired by men who said Trainor's pregnancy would end her career, the song is about women's empowerment; she asks the male subject to stop mansplaining and to listen to her. Critics were complimentary about the composition but criticized the use of the term "mother". The song reached the top 30 in Belgium, Ireland, Suriname, and the United Kingdom. Charm La'Donna directed the music video, which stars Kris Jenner; critics praised the fashion choices and described it as glamorous. Trainor performed the song on Today, Capital's Summertime Ball, and the Timeless Tour (2024). (This article is part of a featured topic: Takin' It Back.)
