FDDI Kolkata
[edit]FDDI Kolkata is one of the campuses of the Footwear Design and Development Institute, an autonomous institution under the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India.
History
[edit]FDDI Kolkata was established in 2010 Located in Kolkata. FDDI was upgraded to an Institute of National Importance by an act of parliament in 2017.[1]

- Bachelor of Design (B.Des) in Footwear Design & Production – 4 years
- Bachelor of Design (B.Des) in Fashion Design – 4 years

Each program has an intake capacity of 60 students per academic year.[2] FDDI has distinct presence not only in higher education, but, also in the spheres of industrial consultancy, research and development and training of active industry professionals.[3]

Admissions
[edit]Admissions to the undergraduate programs are conducted through the All India Selection Test (AIST), which is administered by FDDI across its campuses. Applicants must have completed 10+2 education from any stream.[7] The first stage of the examination is FDDI-AIST, which is a pen-and-paper design and general aptitude test and the second stage Counselling. The tests aim to evaluate the candidate's visualization skills, creative & observation skills, knowledge, comprehension, analytical ability,
