You should also read our conflict of interest guideline and be aware that promotional editing is not acceptable, regardless of the username that you choose. Additionally, if your contributions to Wikipedia form all or part of work for which you are, or expect to be, paid or compensated in any way, you must disclose who is paying you to edit here.
Please take a moment to either create a new account, or request a username change of your current account here. The new username that you choose must represent you as an individual person, and it must comply with Wikipedia's username policy.- To create a new account with a different username, simply log out of this account and then click here to make a new one.
- If you prefer to change the username on this account, you may do so by adding the following text to the bottom of your talk page here:
{{unblock-un|new username|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}
.
Please note that the new username you choose cannot already be taken or in use by another account. You can go here to search and see if the username you'd like to choose is available. If the search returns that no global account with that username exists, that means it is available to be taken.
Please also note that you are permitted to use a username that contains the name of a company or organization if it also identifies you individually, such as "Sara Smith at XYZ Company", "Mark at WidgetsUSA", or "FoobarFan87", but not "SEO Manager at XYZ Company".
Appeals: If your username does not represent a group, organization, website, or other entity described above, and if you believe that this block was incorrect or made in error, you may appeal this block by adding the following text to the bottom of your talk page here: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}

- You should read Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure and Wikipedia:Plain and simple conflict of interest guide. PhilKnight (talk) 22:06, 24 April 2025 (UTC)
- Hi @PhilKnight, thanks! I am not paid to contribute to Wiki, I manage all the digital presences for the Delaware River and Bay Authority, a transportation authority and quasi-governmental agency. Any I make or additions will be to add to the information (or correct where necessary) information on our Wiki pages. We are not a "for profit" just a transportation authority (like a port authority) to connect two states - New Jersey and Delaware. There should be no conflict, we just want to help keep the right information out there, and of course I have also edited Wiki's over the years from personal interest and have been a regular contributor to the funding campaigns. Does this exempt me/us from the disclosure? I have no problem disclosing who we are and what we do. I manage the websites, the Google business profiles, email lists, and really anything digital. I appreciate the heads up and I have read the documents. Thanks to @331dot as well. DRBA-Maya (talk) 17:38, 25 April 2025 (UTC)
- No, you need to make a paid disclosure, and a separate conflict of interest disclosure. PhilKnight (talk) 17:41, 25 April 2025 (UTC)
- You misunderstand- your salary as an employee of the government agency is the "payment" triggering the paid editing disclosure requirement. That it is a government agency or nonprofit is irrelevant. 331dot (talk) 18:15, 25 April 2025 (UTC)
- Ok, got it. Quick question, the wrong logo and seal are posted, is there a way to replace those? I probably don't have permissions to do so. Here is the correct seal: https://cmlf.photoshelter.com/download-page/D0000866tm8Ai9QI
- and the current logo, which replaced the one showing as the seal in 2015, https://cmlf.photoshelter.com/download-page/D0000xTmSf_IYLEA
- Can you help me replace those on the DRBA page? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Delaware_River_and_Bay_Authority
- Thanks! DRBA-Maya (talk) 18:59, 25 April 2025 (UTC)
- You can go to WP:UPIMAGE for information on uploading images like a logo. 331dot (talk) 23:14, 25 April 2025 (UTC)
Recent edit reversion
[edit]In this edit here, I reverted some information that appears to be a violation of our copyright policy.
I provided a brief summary of the problem in the edit summary, which should be visible just below my name. You can also click on the "view history" tab in the article to see the recent history of the article. This should be an edit with my name, and a parenthetical comment explaining why your edit was reverted. If that information is not sufficient to explain the situation, please ask.
I do occasionally make mistakes. We get hundreds of reports of potential copyright violations every week, and sometimes there are false positives, for a variety of reasons. (Perhaps the material was moved from another Wikipedia article, or the material was properly licensed but the license information was not obvious, or the material is in the public domain but I didn't realize it was public domain, and there can be other situations generating a report to our Copy Patrol tool that turn out not to be actual copyright violations.) If you think my edit was mistaken, please politely let me know and I will investigate. ~~~~ S Philbrick(Talk) 20:22, 25 April 2025 (UTC)
