[edit]Crown Court DVD
[edit]I've been looking online and I can't find any websites that have Volume 8 of Crown Court on DVD. Does anyone know where I can buy a DVD copy of Volume 8 from Crown Court. Matthew John Drummond (talk) 13:51, 10 April 2025 (UTC)
- The vendors (and probably manufacturers) of the complete series on DVD, Network DVD (UK), went into liquidation in 2023 and their assets were reportedly bought by Spirit Entertainment. Try contacting the latter via that link; otherwise, keep looking on second-hand vending sites like Amazon, and searching Flea-market stalls, Charity/Thrift shops, etc.: eventually the missing volume might turn up. (As a book collector, it has sometimes taken me several decades to track down a copy of a book I wanted.)
- Incidentally, I found out all of the above by a couple of minutes of simple web searching, surely also within your own capabilities? {The poster formerly known as 87.81.230.195} 94.194.109.80 (talk) 16:57, 10 April 2025 (UTC)
I recently found that on the website Products London.co.uk that you can buy Crown Court Volume 8 from base.com but every time I go on the link to the store it keeps on saying This link is inactive. I'm not sure what to do. Also here's the link [1] Matthew John Drummond (talk) 22:22, 13 April 2025 (UTC)

[edit]Swiss shields in London
[edit]I'm watching 28 Days Later. At 12 minutes, when the protagonist picks up a newspaper, there is a display of the shields of the Swiss cantons. What's that doing there, in a London street? —Tamfang (talk) 01:44, 20 April 2025 (UTC)
- Swiss Centre, London. The cantons on the street sign are displayed in Leicester Square. [2] Knitsey (talk) 01:49, 20 April 2025 (UTC)
- Thanks. —Tamfang (talk) 02:46, 20 April 2025 (UTC)
Also, why does this DVD sometimes look like a transfer from tape?! —Tamfang (talk) 02:46, 20 April 2025 (UTC)
- Ha, that I can't help you with. If memory serves, the start of the film is POV from a handheld camera inside an animal testing facility? That was grainy footage. If the rest is like that, maybe your copy is pirated? Knitsey (talk) 02:53, 20 April 2025 (UTC)
- What I noticed was not grain but fringes. They disappeared after leaving London, hmm. —Tamfang (talk) 06:13, 20 April 2025 (UTC)
