Calgary Highlanders move
[edit]The Calgary Highlanders were renamed by ministerial order to now become The Calgary Highlanders (10th Canadians). There is an unimpeachable source, the department of national defence's own lineage site: https://www.canada.ca/en/department-national-defence/services/military-history/history-heritage/official-military-history-lineages/lineages/infantry-regiments/calgary-highlanders.html#:~:text=1-,Lineage,was%20authorized%20to%20be%20formed.&text=On%2015%20March%201920%2C%20it,and%20%27The%20Calgary%20Regiment%27.
I attempted to rename the page by creating a new one with the new name, and putting a redirect on the old one, but that lasted all of two seconds before a Wiki-bureaucrat said it needed to be done by a "move request" but with zero helpful advice on how to do that. In the faint belief this might matter to someone else - I'll leave this here with a request that if anyone else is conversant with the procedure for moving the page, and agrees that it should be done, please take a look and perhaps you can get it moved to a page reflecting the new title.2604:3D09:C77:4E00:E0ED:1A59:AEDB:B031 (talk) 19:43, 1 May 2025 (UTC)
